On January 18th 2019, Taiwan based freight forwarder Dimerco opened a new ocean freight service location in Singapore – Diversified Freight System (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. This new office will further strengthen the company’s position as a global logistics specialist in the ASEAN region.
According to CEO Mr. Edward Lin, a booming market and the US China trade war are drivers behind Dimerco’s decision to further expand in South East Asia. As a result of the continuous uncertainty, leading manufacturers in China consider moving to alternative locations such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia etc. Singapore offers one of the best regional hubs in South East Asia. With a dedicated service team in Singapore, Dimerco offers wider ocean freight and logistics capabilities to customers.
Dimerco also unveiled its new 14,000 sq ft Bonded Warehouse; It includes 1,200 temperature-controlled pallet space and 4 loading bays. Strategically located at the Airport Free Trade Zone Logistics Park, with easy access to the airport, sea port and cross-border trucking, the new warehouse allows same day trans-shipments or multi-modal transportation solutions such as LCL freight consolidation.
Commenting on the new developments in Singapore, Dimerco CEO Mr. Edward Lin said:
