Dimerco Express Corporation (5609) today announced the consolidated sales revenue for the month of April 2023. The consolidated sales revenue of April 2023 is NTD 1,685 million, a decrease of 58.0% compared to April 2022, and consolidated sales revenue of April 2023 YTD is NTD 7,005 million, a decrease of 54.7% compared to the same period last year.
Due to the continuous slow of global trade in April along with impact of US-China Trade Tension and Russo-Ukrainian War with threat of inflation due to interest rate increase in USA and bankruptcy of local bank and pressure on inventories, freight market keeps in low freight rate with carrier capacity (supply) over shipper demand. Dimerco foresees market change with enhancement on digital marketing and clear market positioning from brick-and-mortar to online platform to attract customers while keeps capacity with strategic development. Besides, compared with the same period last year, there’s a 20%-30% decrease in April, 2023 on tonnage/volume, which is much lower than the 50% decrease on revenue, showing the stable profit.
