Dimerco has cemented its online security with National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF) certification for its Dimerco Value Plus System®.
With cyber security a business-critical issue in an increasingly digital world, Dimerco is proud to be the first company in Taiwan to receive the NIST CSF certification for its cloud-based logistics management system, after recognized with ISO 27001 in 2021, to comprehensively enhance the safety throughout the supply chain.
Integrated with Dimerco’s existing ISO 27001 Information Security Management System accreditation, the NIST CSF certification enhances the company’s ability to identify, protect, detect and respond to cyber threats as well as implement Recovery.
Mr. Steven Chen, Director of Business Intelligence Technology (BIT) of Dimerco said: “Managing our cyber risk and ensuring data safety for our worldwide customer base is of the utmost importance. By adopting NIST CSF, we can monitor our current cyber security levels, strengthen our corporate security every year, reinforcing our cybersecurity control measures on security detection and information security incident response.”
Gaining NIST CSF also serves to supplement ISO 27001 in the areas of detection and response to cyber threats and brings Dimerco into Tier 2 ‘risk informed’ and up to Tier 3 ‘repeatable’ as part of its ongoing program of improvements in cyber security.
Editor’s Notes
- ISO 27001 focuses on the Information Security Management System build-up, including the management policy, build-up, company asset protection, risk identified, mitigation, and prevention.
- NIST CSF adopts the cyber security framework maturity model to identify maturity level in five areas: Identify, Protection, Detection, Response and Recovery.
