Dimerco’s digital collaboration using ONE Record is spotlighted as the air cargo industry pushes for greater efficiency, transparency, and e-commerce readiness.
Taipei, Taiwan – April 16, 2025—Dimerco has been recognized in Air Cargo News’ recent coverage of the IATA World Cargo Symposium (WCS). The article took Dimerco as a key example of how digital collaboration is transforming communication in the air cargo industry. It emphasized the growing importance of integrated, real-time data sharing as e-commerce volumes continue to rise and the industry transitions away from legacy systems.
According to IATA, e-commerce now accounts for roughly 20% of air cargo volumes, and this share is growing fast. To meet the demand for faster, more visible transit, IATA has introduced the ONE Record standard—an API-based data-sharing platform to centralize data and streamline communication.
Dimerco’s collaboration with Cathay Cargo and Global Logistics Systems Hong Kong was highlighted as a successful application of ONE Record. In the project, the semiconductor thermal paste was transported while using a cargo tracking device and the ONE Record API to enable near real-time data sharing. Dimerco was able to track and monitor crucial shipment information without any delays.
“Another example of ONE Record being utilised came when Dimerco, Cathay Cargo and Global Logistics Systems Hong Kong partnered to transport semiconductor thermal paste and monitor the condition of the shipment using a cargo tracking device and real-time data sharing via the ONE Record API.
Dimerco was able to access and monitor data including shipment milestones and conditions – such as GPS location, temperature and humidity – in near real time.
In another example, data loggers were used to provide real-time updates on vaccine transportation via ONE Record, ensuring that the condition of transport along the cargo journey complied with requirements.

This project reflects the broader movement across the industry to replace outdated peer-to-peer messaging systems with centralized, standardized data solutions. By adopting ONE Record, all parties involved in shipment—forwarders, airlines, and even customs authorities—can access a shared data model, reducing delays, miscommunication, and manual data re-entry.
