All terminals in Oakland closed for the 1st shift today, NOV 2, due to a labor disruption. It is reported that a picket line has formed at the gates. All trucks were escorted off and their transactions canceled. There is no word on the 2nd shift.
Recommendation
Do not send your trucks until the situation is clear. Pickups and deliveries of containers are impacted. Shippers should allow flexibility, and rescheduling is strongly recommended. Dimerco will keep you posted on new developments.
